Founding cohort — 6 seats

Medical German from week one. Not one hour spent learning to order coffee.

Live classes in groups of max 6 doctors, plus a daily self-study system that takes you from zero to B2 in 12 months at 10 hours a week. The exact math is below.

Founding price: €189/month for as long as you stay subscribed, if you enroll before 1 October 2026. From October, new students pay €249/month.

Month-to-month. Cancel anytime — cancelling forfeits the founding price.

Generic courses teach you to book a holiday. You need to take an anamnesis.

Chapter 7: hobbies and free time. Chapter 9: booking a hotel. Meanwhile, what you actually need is die Anamnese, der Befund, die Überweisung — and the confidence to talk to a patient, a colleague and an examiner. You are a doctor. Your German course should know that from day one.

The Klinik Method

Three decisions that make the difference.

There is no shortcut to B2 — there is engineering. We apply what language-learning research consistently shows, aimed at the hospital from day one.

Every hour counts twice

Hospital vocabulary, anamnesis roleplay and medical writing from week one — not bolted on after B2. By the time you sit your exam, you have already built the foundation for the Fachsprachenprüfung. Nothing you learn is thrown away.

Class time is 100% speaking

Grammar, vocabulary and listening live in the app, on your schedule. Live classes — capped at 6 doctors — are pure conversation: roleplay, correction, clinical scenarios. You will speak more in a month here than in a year of a 20-person course. Between classes, an AI voice tutor gives you unlimited practice.

The 600-hour system

B2 is a volume problem, so we engineer the volume: a guided daily plan (45–60 min), every hour tracked against your personal budget, and a monthly 1:1 to keep you on pace. Ambitious? There is no ceiling — the app never runs out of practice.

Medical German from day one.

Not "general German now, medical German someday". From week 1 you practice the German you will actually use:

  • Anamnesis and patient communication
  • Ward rounds and handover
  • Documentation, Arztbrief and shift handoff
  • FSP and telc B2·C1 Medizin scenarios

The honest math

The Goethe-Institut's own estimate for reaching B2 is 600–800 teaching units. That is the number every "B2 in 8 weeks" ad hopes you never look up.

Your weekly commitmentRealistic time to B2
~10 hours (3 live classes + daily self-study)~12 months
~5 hours18–24 months

We tell you this before you pay — in writing, at enrollment. And we publish each cohort's results, pass rates included. It is the same standard you would hold a colleague to.

One more number worth knowing: research is unambiguous that attainment declines a little with every year you wait after your mid-twenties. There is no perfect moment. Starting is the only proven accelerator.

Your 12 months

Months 1–4

Foundations (A1→A2)

Daily habit locked in. Hospital vocabulary from day one.

Months 5–8

B1 + the medical track

Weekly anamnesis roleplays, symptom vocabulary, first timed mock exams. This is the famous intermediate plateau — where most self-learners quit. The whole program is built around getting you through it.

Months 9–12

B2 + exam

Patient conversations, Arztbrief writing, full mock exams. Target: Goethe or telc B2 — or telc B2·C1 Medizin if you are heading to Baden-Württemberg (it replaces the FSP).

What's included

  • 12 months from A0 to B2, with medical German woven in from week one
  • 3 × 60 min live classes per week — max 6 doctors per group
  • AI voice tutor for unlimited conversation practice between classes
  • Guided daily self-study plan (45–60 min/day) in the Solvia app, no usage ceiling
  • Timed mock exams from the B1 phase onward
  • Monthly 1:1 progress check against your hour budget
  • Founding cohort: free app access for as long as the app exists

What it demands of you

B2 in 12 months requires ~10 hours per week (classes + daily self-study). At ~5 hours a week, the honest timeline is 18–24 months. We tell you before you enroll, in writing, because we prefer a well-informed student to a disappointed review.

No risk

The cohort launches with a minimum of 3 enrolled doctors. If it does not launch, everything you paid is refunded — in full, no questions. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. The official exam (Goethe/telc) is not included; you pay the exam center directly.

Frequently asked questions

Is B2 in 12 months realistic?

At ~10 hours a week, yes — that is ~500 guided hours, inside the Goethe-Institut's own estimate for motivated adult learners. At 5 hours a week it is not, and we will tell you so before you enroll.

I have zero German. Can I start?

Yes. The program starts at A0.

I already have A2 or B1.

Contact us — you may join a later phase with a shorter runway.

Who teaches the classes?

Experienced instructors specialized in German for healthcare professionals, in groups capped at 6. Small enough that your instructor knows exactly where you stand.

Does this prepare me for the FSP?

The medical track (anamnesis, Befund, Arztbrief) is deliberate FSP groundwork. For Baden-Württemberg, the telc B2·C1 Medizin route replaces the FSP entirely.

What if I travel or work night shifts?

Classes are live and small, and the self-study system is fully async. Miss a class and the material does not miss you.

Why "founding cohort"?

You are in the first group: the app is built around your actual gaps, your price stays locked for as long as you stay subscribed, and your results become the published proof. In exchange, you get in at €189 instead of €249.
